Finally..............

My heart is bursting with joy and at the same time breaking. Why? Our dear friends and neighbors just received their referral for their beautiful baby girl. Two. Years. Later. I know you're all probably thinking, yeah, that's about right. Wrong. They were supposed to be given priority. Why? She is a Chinese National and her family lives in Shanghai. Did they get priority? No. Did they ever get frustrated? No? Did they ever had an unkind word to say about their agency? No. (I don't know how she did it-- I was a basket case) Did they ever say a cross or negative thing about China? No. They are few words. Why? Because instead of celebrating today they will be burying S's father who died the day after they received their referral. What's more heart breaking his father will never know the little lady she will become. He never had a chance to hold her. To laugh with her. To love her. Words do not express my sympathy for them but at the same time I am so excited that I will be a part of her little life. Katie and Abbey are so excited to have a little baby to play with who was also born in China! She is from Jiangxi Province. C. & S. we love you so much.....

Huge congrats.I was wondering how expedited ones were going. Our neighbors are LID Dec '06 and she too is Chinese (dad is from Hubei like Annslee) and so this unfortunately gives me a timeline for them.... Yay on another cutie on your street

Oh Rony I am so sorry for the loss of your friends father. My heart just breaks for them but like you at the same time , I am so excited for them to bring their baby girl home. There is a plan and I truly believe that HE knew there would be a loss so he comforted them by giving them a priceless treasure. May God be with this family and yours at this time in life.

Love, Kristy

Rony,

What a wonderfully sweet couple. I wish I could live this way. I really did try to be good during our wait, but my temper with CCAA frequently got the better of me. They are going to be awesome parents and I am so glad that Katie and Abbey are going to have a new playmate.

P.S. I just checked out your weight loss blog. Way to go on your weight loss. Although I think you are a hottie already.

Hugs,
Jonni

Oh, I remember how hard I prayed that my dad would make it to meet my Amelia. I am so sorry for your friends. That pain is immeasurable!

How exciting for them to receive their referral. My sister has a friend in the same boat, she's also Chinese and is still waiting nearly 2 years later. Hopefully the joy of their new little one will help them through their pain.
