Yes.We.Can.

I've been edgey. Resorting to tears for no reason. Pins and needles. I've been afraid to believe. Is.It.Possiblee? But....considering what he's had to go thru ...what he's lost......he was humble......... Yes.We.Won. I'm exhuasted. I cried a bucket of tears. For me. For my babies. for all of us. I'm Spent. It was a long battle. It was an ugly battle. But, no one could have prepared me for the end. I didn't expect he'd win. However, I was totally blown away by John McCain's speech. His consession speech. Had he run his race with the same devotion, well.. maybe I would have had a different opinion of John McCain. What he said of his contender was admirable. Priceless. Real. Thank you John...... I'm tired. I'm going to bed.....I have a party to prepare for.........who will join me?

You know... McCain's speech... I had to hand it to him... I liked it and when the crowd started to boo and he got them to stop... Did I agree with his policies etc no not really but what he went through as a POW etc I had to hand it to the guy for that... still... it was a good speech but oh my... millions of goosebumps here... and tears of joy...

I'll join you Rony!!!!!! What an amazing moment. I am so joyful that my son will have this as his first real memory of the presidential race, what a great thing for him and our children. A more united world, where the color of your skin is not the defining factor of who you are, that's the world I want to live in. Now we have a leader who will unite instead of divide, I'm am moved beyond words!!!!!!!!

Rony, Yes REALLY! He did it, we all did it! He is now President Barack Hussein Obama and doesn't it sound great!!!

I feel like you do. I cried last night. I woke up this morning and started crying for no reason, well no I do have a reason. My 9 year old, bi-racial son can grow up and be anything he wants and I can say to him, YES YOU CAN! No one can hold him back. The opportunities are endless thanks to Martin Luther King and President Obama.

The last 8 years have been trying to say the least, but now the day after the election we have HOPE! Yes we will have challenges and sacrifices to make but we will make them together.
Yes we can! Yes we will! Yes we did!

One more thing for TB. It wasn't just the young vote, and black vote that helped win the election for President Obama it was the "College educated white vote" Think about that! And this is for all those uneducated voters...
Word to yo Momma.
No more Drama.
WE GOT OBAMA!!!

I have to agree, John McCain's concession was the best speech of his campaign.
I'm excited to have new ideas in the White House, but don't expect things to happen overnight. He's only one man.

I don't think anything will happen overnight. I think it's going to take a long time to repair the damage of the current administration. BUT, at least we're on the right track. We now have reason to believe. It's a beautiful day!

Can't stop crying.....

I cried all night, during McCain's concession speech and of course while Obama spoke. I couldn't be more proud of our country and how we want to go in a new direction. I'm so proud that a man of color can be president and wasn't sure I'd see that even in my lifetime. It's a new day...

I'm here to party with you, Rony. I just won't stop being edgy till Jan 20th. I am so worried about his family's safety. I really am glad though. Overnight we have had other countries stating that "America has finally grown up." Can you imagine? In ONE night he has already changed many countries' perspective about Americans. Brilliant. I'm so happy I could PUKE! hehe.

A new day indeed. Yes we can. Yes we did. He has an uphill battle on his hands, but for today we can just celebrate this momentous occasion.

My faith in this country has been restored.

YES WE DID!!!!
I thought both speeches were humble and unifying. So much pride!

No more tears Rony! Stop it! This is a new era. We witnessed history in the making. It is a beautiful thing and a proud moment. What he had to go through, the racism, the lies the doubts, have made him only stronger. He has changed history and given children no matter the color of their skin, hope. Yes we can! The people have spoken.

Now start preparing the party! What are you wearing for the bal? I wish I could go!!!

Let's pop open the cyber champagne and celebrate! We did it! And my state, Florida, was finally BLUE!

When I turned on the TV this morning, it took me about two seconds to think, 'I bet the party is at Rony's house tonight!'

Many Congrats my friend!

A good fight and happy it is now over. No, my guy didnt win but I must say I am hopeful for what is to come. I have faith in Obama and know he is a strong moral man who will lead this country where it needs to go. I heard in on one report last night that McCain had confided in a few of his key people early on that he felt that there was something bigger than all of us (maybe a God thing) that was driving this and that he deep down knew that Obama would win and that he was suppoed to win. I think that may be where we are at right now-- obama was meant to win-- he is what we need right now and I am happy to cross partisan lines and look with anticipation to the next 4 years!! Congrats on an awesome win and I agree the concession speach was beautiful and real!!!

Christy,

I agree with you! I believe Barack Obama was sent to us from a much higher power. I am hopeful that he will lead us out of the belly of dispair and turn the economy around. Our country needs this man to repair optimism and hope for all of us! I beleive Barack will immediately put a plan in motion to immediately try to bring the country back together again as one. I'm excited about that. I for one am embracing our new president for all things possible. I want to believe happy days are in our future. They just have to be.......

This situation SCREAMS paradigm shift, for all of us. I finally feel our human race is progressing. The higher power was always workin for us, we just gotta listen. SO PROUD of the US right now. Far reaching impact too. We are all safer. An end to the puppet march. Amen.

Was it me, or did it seem like everyone had a spring to their step today, and was more cordial and happy? I guess that's the tremendous power of hope. I was so wishing that i could have been in Chicago for last night's speech to witness it life. I don't blame old Jesse for bawling like a baby.

I always play a little game when the Big O speaks...how long can I last without starting to cry. Last night? I pretty much held it together until he started speaking of that 106 yr old woman in Ga, and what she had seen in her lifetime. That was it. No more pretending that I wasn't crying.

The power in that man's speech and the level of hope he can instill is awesome. Change it here, and it feels wonderful!

Oh yeah...I'd give my right arm to be able to go to the inaugeration, never mind one of the parties. Washington in January sounds fab!

I will call you tomorrow! Our prayers were answered! I'm ecstatic, inspired, and relieved! I could sleep for days, what a ride!

Hell yeah, we can and we DID! And even more importantly, we will. He's got a tough road ahead of him, with expectations as high as they are. I'm confident that he'll do everything he can to live up to our expectations though. I can't remember ever in my adult life feeling this optimistic about the future. And Obama's acceptance speech was beautiful. It was hands-down the best speech I've ever heard. I had chills throughout it, and it brought me to tears more than once.

I'm so proud of America for doing the right thing yesterday!
