Mommy dressed and ready to go. Lipstick in place. Check.

Daddy dressed. Check.

Mai dressed. Check.

Girls dressed in their finery. Check.

Dog locked up. Check.

Everyone loaded in and buckled up. Check.

Arrive at restaurant only to discover it's tomorrow! Chinese New Year Celebration.

Priceless.

As an added bonus I did get to spend the day with the family shopping and just relaxing....ALL DAY. I love my new life.

Update on the potty training. Day two and girls dry as the Sierra desert. Wearing diapers at nap and bed time. I'm not doing the pull-up thing. I think by golly they just may be getting it!!! Yea!!!

That is priceless but heck you enjoyed yourself and got to spend a wonderful time with your family. That is precious.

Good to hear that the potty training is going so well. My own princess is doing very well in her training. I don't however dare take her on a car trip without the pull up.

Ha ha! We had our Chinese New Year celebration today, and then did the shopping thing! It was fun. We left home at 10:30 am and returned at 10pm. LONG DAY. Snowstorm made the ride home too long.

Yay you on not doing the pull-up thing. We ONLY used them for naps and bedtime, and called them 'NIGHT-TIME UNDERWEAR'. I couldn't do the diaper thing then, because I told Sophia I wouldn't buy anymore, and I'm a woman of my word!

We used cotton undies always, the rest of the time. Now Sophia sleeps her nap (IF she even takes one) in her cotton undies, and only wears her 'night-time underwear' at bedtime. More often than not she wakes and they're dry, but not often enough for me to ditch them yet. My other kiddos were a good amt older before the nighttime wetting stopped. I think they were just heavy sleepers, and didn't wake to get up and go. 8 Year old boy sleepwalks and still needs to get woken once nightly to go pee... will it never end? ???? lol

A free Saturday to shop... you're living the dream life!

I have to say that's something that I (we) would do too. Not that dh really knows what the schedule is on weekends.

Whoo Hoo for the little potty training princesses, they are doing great!

So happy that you had some time with your family, and you're enjoying your new life too. :)

That is totally something I would do. But only because I NEVER have a clue what day of the week it is.
But hey...long as you guys had a blast, no harm no foul.

LOL! We did almost the same thing. We got everyone dressed, drove all the way across town and the place was empty so we drove all the way home and discovered we had the wrong time. Happy New Year!

We did our CNY thing today...lots of fun! Sorry you turned up on the wrong day...I did that last week when I went to register P1 for her new pre-school. I sat in the car for 45 minutes waiting for other parents to turn up only to find out it was on THURSDAY not TUESDAY!...one of those deals where registration starts at 6.30 but you have to be there at least 1.5-2 hours before to make sure you get one of the coveted spots. Did I mention in was -25! ugh.

What I love the most about you is that you can tell us when these things happen to you. You can just put it out there for people to laugh and smile and just love you all the more.
Priceless story.

oh yeah and way-cool about the potty-training. Yay!! We're just beginning. Both girls will mostly do peepee......have not graduated to the big-time poo-poo yet.......When they do peepee, a micro-chip in the potty senses the urine and blasts off with a congratulations song....It is so funny!
Ah, the things I laugh at now...

-love,cin
