McCutie's at the Spa

Today was a good day. Yes, this is what our life has come to. Rating our days. But, it was a good day. *sigh*

The girl's first hair cut last November was so riddled with trauma that I promised myself I'd never ever ever repeat the pain. Only an idiot(be still) would put themselves through that kind of drama. I would rather walk on hot coals. Seriously. To make matters worse it was morbidly expensive -- for a child's hair-cut. Frankly I like to be kissed if I'm going to make your car payment. That said my "mil" was coming for a visit and she had mentioned(in passing) cutting the girls hair. Umm, no offense dear "mil" but we (dh and myself) aren't do-it yourself kind of people. (Meaning do anything ourselves) We insist on paying for what we want and full price. Shzzz. Yes, we're idiots. So me, Mai (g-d love her) and the girls headed to Hair Cuttery. I know what you're thinking. Well that certainly is no "spa". But it was "magical" Yeah, that's it. The girl did a better job than the swanky say-lon with the gold sheers. No $$$ haircuts for the "twinkies"---yet. If they want mommy style cuts, they'll be busting their piggy bank!

The pictures speak for themselves. We had a great time and the girls hair looks better than the schmancy fancy place we spent a fortune in November! Mama had a good time too...

oh the cuteness! Love the one of them by the door... such cute dresses! We haven't cut Lilli's hair yet except for a few snips of the bangs at home :)

Yahooo!! Nice collage
Great cut and darling dresses, they are looking older! What a fun girls day out.
Time for me to get out my scissors, everyone here needs a cut.

Hey Rony, you are getting quite adroit with the pics. ---Love them! The girls look dahling with their new haircuts. S + A have had only 1 haircut in their 26 short months, (ditto the horrendous experience), and the pressure is on for another one....I'd rather get some teeth extracted than repeat that experience. But gosh seeing how cuuuuute Abbey + Katie look makes me realize it's TIME!!!

Yay. Good for all you guys with the haircut day. They look uber-cute.
I'm totally with you on the pay-someone-else-to-do-it-right. If you're lucky enough to buy it, then buy it right! Life is just too short for bad haircuts, cheap-o chocolate and especially too short for low-rate wine! :)

Cindy, I love "uber" word... I think I will start using it too...

Dianna... adroit? I'm thinking this a good thing? right? ha ha...You girls are the best!

Cute! Love the dresses! The new cuts are snazzy (my mother's word) Oh my, am I turning into my mother? ;)

I can't imagine what you paid for a kids cut, they're about $10-$15 here. lol Maybe we're a little behind the times here in Maine! LOL

Every girl needs a little "spa" day.
Love the photos, can't wait to take jilly for a "real" cut, just need her to sit still for more than two seconds.

Great cuts. It looks like fun. We haven't ventured out to the paid for cuts as my mom is a stylist (used to be) and at least can do kids hair. What beauties you have.

So cute!!!!
my mother too was a stylist and she'd run out the door when little kids came in.
I fully expect her to do my kids hair, when I get her, though mom may be in a walker/wheelchair/ diapers by the time that rolls around.

Great blog, very witty.
Thanks for the comments and the visit

Beautiful girls! I am so glad to hear the Hair cuttery was fine ... I was wondering where the heck to take them. Hair cuts are ridiculously priced these days, yet I find myself constantly disappointed. Though, I did find someone recently I'll be loyal to.
Thanks for visiting my blog, and for letting me know you survived the second year, too.

Now you're talking haircuts, though I hack my kids hair myself. But for you this is progress.
Trying to catch up in blogland. Forgive me.
