Thank goodness for the Chinese

We were lucky today that the Chinese restaurant was open. Where else would we Jewish (me the wannabe--husband authentic) people and our children eat on Easter?! We had the entire place to ourselves!! We have built quite a friendship with the owner of the restaurant during our adoption wait and and she was there today with her little girl. We felt like "rock stars". We got the royal treatment.

Katie and Abbey were both wearing new shoes and repeated it about 100 times. "New Shooooooes". Sophie, the owner's daughter took turns feeding Katie and Abbey. We didn't have the heart to tell her that they eat by themselves or that they were little girls and not boys. She kept saying "he really likes that". It was soo cute.. Katie kept begging for more soup.

Happy Easter to all of you who celebrate!!

Sure beats what I ate for dinner tonight, a tuna sandwich! Hosted the clan for supper (mine, not the KKK) last night. The girls have been spitfires today.
Abbey and Katie look very sporty in their loungewear...learned from mom?
Happy Easter and Passover doll.

Uh-well since returning home from the restaurant they have been like two grrrrr-remiles!! Icky, awful. Katie was miserable. We just got finished bathing them and threw them in the bed. We had considered not bathing but then remembered they were down crawling (literally) on the floor at the restaurant and I'm sure they were pretty nasty!

Yea, sure glad I didn't put them in the dresses they are wearing to wedding in a couple of weeks ago. They would have ruined them. I decided they would look like mommy dearest today.

Much love to you.

Hi Rony.
Hey, you left a comment on one of my blog posts last week saying you guys are from DC but are looking at the Raleigh area. We've lived here 19 years and LOVE it. We both came here for graduate school to NC State (Ed as environment scientist and me in Electrical Engineering) and we were convinced we loved the area so much (oh yeah, and we both got phenomenal job offers....) so we stayed for post-grad work and I hope we're here for many decades to come. It is simply a wonderful town....lots to do.....good schools....good tax base in Wake County (not outside of Wake, howeve) and for southern town, it's pretty liberal (as it's gonna get) and decently cosmopolitan. Let me know if you have any questions. We live in the North Raleigh area....
