I love you

A special friend from across the pond (thank you Lynn) sent this to me and I wanted to share with all of you. I think sometimes we need to be reminded of our loved ones. About living in the present. Today. Don't wait until it's to late to say "I love you. You may not have that chance.

One day a man’s wife died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the husband was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't any more. No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more 'just one minute.' Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye, before we can say 'I love you.' So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it, fix it when it's broken and heal it when it's sick. This is true for marriage . And old cars . And children with bad report cards, and dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it. Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away or a classmate we grew up with. There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what. Life is important, like people we know who are special. And so, we keep them close!

Thanks for sharing this. I had my own little reminder this weekend of just how easily things can change in a moment.

I learnt this from when my dad died in 1978, he was killed in a Coal Mine accident and so we of course didn't have a chance to say 'goodbye' or 'I Love You'... so, I try to say it - or say Goodbye to someone... even if Mike and I have a disagreement I still tell him I love him... take care - oh... love you all too...

I am fanatical about saying "I love You" to the kids, and I see I should be spreading lots MORE love around!

Those were beautiful words, and they too are some of my favorite. I will tell you that I love that God put you and your family in my life along with all of the other very special people in blogland. Everytime I read your blog, you either make me laugh really hard or make me like today think real hard. No matter what the case is you have touched my life and I love you for being you.

Love, Kristy

Rony thank you for sharing this, I have been very weepy lately and sentimental. The reason being that I see my parents getting older, we are in the sandwitch generation being in the 40's. Too close to the beginning of the end and you just want to hold on. I have to remind myself that the moment is all we have and wasting time on the unknown future, robs that precious time. Again, thanks for sharing.
