What I know now..
My dearest precious Abbey and Katie,
I never knew how amazing being a mother could be. Really.
I never knew being a mother could give me such pleasure. Ever.
I never knew that I could feel so much happiness.
I never knew I could laugh so hard.
I never knew I could feel so awe-inspiring proud of you.
I never knew you could be so breathtakingly beautiful that you would take my breath away.
I never knew I could feel such joy as watching as you run and jump, squeal and giggle.
I never knew I could love so deeply it hurt.
I never knew my heart could be so full of love.
I never knew how wondrous it would feel to hold your tiny little hand.
I never knew how amazing it would feel to be kissed by you.
I never knew how sweet you could smell.
I never knew I would feel so much emotion when you climbed onto my lap.
I never knew how crazy excited I would get as you took your first step.
I never knew that you would be all I ever needed.
I never knew that you would be so stupendously smart that I would gush with pride.
I never knew I could feel such sadness as watching you cry and not knowing why.
I never knew my heart would swell with such pride when you called me "mommy" for the first time.
I never knew the joy I could feel as hearing you say "I love you mommy".
I never knew what it meant to be a "mother". Now I do.
Thank you for allowing me to love you and be your mommy.
I promise to always and forever love you.
Love Mommy

I know exactly what you mean..I have 26 nieces and nephews so I foolishly thought "I knew" but I didn't. There is nothing that compares to being someone's Mama : )
Oh my, you are making me cry. That is the sweetest Mommy post.
That's just beautiful. I feel like I haven't been terribly impatient during our wait - life is full and wonderful and I feel like I've done a good job of staying in the moment and appreciating the life I have right now rather than living for the future ...but that said, a post like this makes me long for the day that I;ll know what it feels like to love our daughter so much it takes my breath away! You're a lucky woman, and doubly so. Thanks for spreading the joy.
Rony,
You are the best Mommy!!! I'm so proud to know YOU!

Rony, what a beautiful poem for your beautiful daughters. It felt as if it was an expression of what my heart feels as well. Just beautiful and oh so true. thank you for sharing and for sharing the wonderful pictures of your baby girls.
(Wiping the tears, wiping the tears). You suck! I'm seriously trying to put the mommy desire in the back pocket of my skinny jeans which I have nestled in the hidden part of my closet only to be brought out one day when I've reached my goal weight and can fit into them. I figure that day will come when I have kids and don't have time to eat. I'm seriously not normal! :)
Great tribute - the girls will love to read that one day.
What a beautiful poem. Love is an amazing thing, it knows no limits. Your very special girls have a very special mommy! How perfectly fitting.

Rony,
Awesome post. Truly first-class/first rate and such a gift t the girls one day.
After reading your post last night....(late...was working til past midnite), I went up to the nursery to just stare at the girls and hoped maybe they'd wake up. I was standing over Nicki's crib when I heard Sammi whisper behind me...in the dark and oh so softly and baby-wispy..."Wow, it's Mommy. Hi Mommy"...."
OH.MY.GOSH. How could I be richer.....
love love love
