Heavy Weight

No. But Abbey thinks she has a "new" diaper equipped with a fashion belt. lol. My little "Houdini" (yes, both of them)have been pulling their diapers off the past couple weeks and for no reason other than because they could. Now, up until this point it was not a problem. You see where this is going. Abbey was crying(hysterically) yesterday morning "mommy, poo-poo, mommy, poo-poo, and a little louder "poo-poo mommy". I laid there in the bed looked up at the ceiling and smiled to myself. Ahhh, my girls really do love me. Nothing makes me happier than hearing my babies call my name. They do need me . But in a flash it occurred to me that maybe it meant what I thought it did. I frantically jumped out of bed and flew down the hall my feet barely touching the ground. Too late. There stood Abbey with her ass cheeks wrapped around the rungs in her crib and pointing(like I couldn't see it) to the giant warm steamy mound in the middle of her crib. Ewwww. It looked as if an elephant had taken a giant crap in her bed! That was not the half of it. There was crap everywhere. Everywhere. Did I say everywhere?! On the sheets, the bed, the bedding, her stuffed animals. Not today. I had no time for this. Not this morning. I was minutes to running out the door for work. Crap. Literally. What a great day to start my day.

As I was driving home I was sharing with fh about my morning drama. Car talk is the only time we have quiet time. Anyway being the "schmarty-pants" fh suggested tape. Insert grinning now. I ask, "What kind of tape"?! Fh replies, "duct tape". I asked "do you think it will work"? Fh, "oh, it will work, trust me". Well, not only was it tape, but "Gorilla" tape. So far Abbey has not figured out how to wiggle out of her "new" diaper. Lol. Well, we're safe. This week anyway.

Enjoy the pictures of the chickies.

ugh... Jacob and Caitlyn have done the same thing. When we went on vacation and Caitlyn's crib was right beside me I could tell her NO and she got out of the habit. Hasn't done it but once since July4th week thank God. She never pooped, she wants to do that in the potty really bad, thank God again, but EVERY DAY nap and night her bed was soaked and she was screaming. We tried several outfits, but didn't try duct tape, even though a couple of people told me I should. I hope it works for you. She is such a cutie in the pics.

NO YOU DIDN'T!!
Well, it does seem to be working (smartypants husband) for now...until they find the kitchen shears, and they do look darn cute...
I think you might be able to use these pictures later on (teens years) to show them what you're capable of! ;)
ps you need one of those bumper stickers that says "Poo happens"

Only happened here once...She pooped during nap and didn't want it on her anymore so she removed her pullup and threw it across the room...YUCK.

Hope the tape works and they are super cute!!

Nothing says welcome to mommyhood like body fluids (even the lumpy ones!)

Leave it to a guy to think of the tape. There's a book about that tape, 101 uses I think. I wonder if they thought of THAT one?

I have NEVER had one of mine do that, thankfully. Oh my. Although a kiddos in the church nursery not too long ago (age 4!) smeared poo on the walls, toilet, etc in the bathroom. Ewww! I didn't not have nursery duty though, so I could laugh about it!

Funny stuff, your life! You couldn't make this stuff up! Just think, you'll be reminding her of this story one day, when her new fiance is sitting on the couch beside her... ;)

What up? Jane does this too! And the other day after her nap she called for me BUT did not seem to mind the poo in her bed. She greeted me with a HUGE smile and said look mommy - poop! Like she was proud that she had pulled off her diaper and rolled poo nuggets around in her crib! . No more gowns for Jane she can ony wear pj pants to bed! She somehow has not figured out that she can take off pants like she can a diaper!

At that moment I was realy glad she tends to be on th econstipated side!

Oh where was this suggestion when it was happening to me? It is brilliant, absolutely brilliant. You have no idea the kind of decorations I've had to clean up. Now, thankfully this is a thing of the past.

We used the duct tape on our son #3. He was a complete houdini and it totally did the trick. I am not ashamed of it in the least. It worked perfectly. see why we're friends????

That is freakin hilarious.

My friend has 14 month old twins that have started taking off their diaper during the night whenever they poop. She also found crap EVERYWHERE the other morning. She said the smell is what woke them....

I actually posted somewhere the zillion uses of duct tape
