Yester Year 1987-88

Yes, we were fashion "icons" before our time. WE made wearing BIG fashionable. Glasses that is. Either that or we were preparing for our old age with our "wrap around" glaucoma wear. At any rate we thought we looked good. D-ski(her childhood nickname-friend for 30+years) was just here for a visit and we laughed until we pee'd ourselves looking at pics from the time capsule and slingin' back the wine. Our glasses were bigger than we were. Seriously! I was cracking myself up looking at my choice of "bling" back then. I look like a version of "Mrs. T". Could I have worn any more jewelry? You know I like the stuff, but jeez oh pease. What's up with the cocktail ring? IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY! Oh, maybe we were having cock-me tails. Clueless.....but we thought we looked gorgeous.

Here we are "today" looking all stylish in our up to date eye wear.

I wonder what we'll be saying 15 years from now when we look back at our pictures today? Probably something about the "deer in the headlights insane & desperate" expressions" we have in all our pics.....

Hey, getting ready to do that gmail thing.....

I didn't have the sunglasses, but I did have some spiffy pants like that. Well... mine were the same style, but had palm trees on them? Oh yes... Palmettos I think? Got them at the mall... oh yeah...

Do you think in 20 years you'll laugh at how you look in the last picture? Hard to imagine, isn't it?

You are aging like a very fine expensive wine, getting better with age.
One hot Momma, big glasses are hot again.

I am loving these flashback pics...looks like you and your gal pal had fun then and now (I can see why you were sad to see her leave)...

about the glasses........
um, I don't think they were in style ... I remember my mom wearing them when I was 10 years old (she still does) and you are no older than me.
are you sure people were not making fun of you then???

Heeeeey Secret Agent, I think I am ALOT older than you my little chick a dee. ha ha. I think they were all wearing those based on the fotos of the others in the group. I'd post their fotos but I'm afraid they'd string me up for sure.

Fine wine?! Well I definately smell like I'm fermenting some days. Lack of bath?!

Nicki, Love D and all my friends so much. They've been like family to me and always there. No judging or critizing. I've always felt safe with them. They know the down and dirty and sometimes all too sad to talk about stuff. There is an understanding with us.
