Naughty and nice.................

Well the chain of events this weekend reminded me how quickly our unplanned "quickies"might be coming to an end. Screeching halt! It can be a a bit challenging with twins finding time for sexy time with sweet thing. But we manage to sneak a little bump and grind here and there without fear of the chicks barging in. Errrr, well we did......

But this morning we were startled from our sweet dreams by a bang on our door. I was in the middle of one of those dreams you don't want to end. But, my heart stopped. Who could that be??! Was someone in the house??!! I hear a meek "hello". I thought to myself, "it's not Friday, so it can't be Lisa". Of course you're wondering why would she be in our bedroom! Then .... I hear the door slowly open...my heart beating so fast I thought it would explode....and then I hear this tiny little voice squealing "I did it, I did it mommy..... I got out of my bed.... by myself"!..... In the background I hear the other kid yelling "Help, help....help mommy, help.... I'm stuck in my crib.... I can't get out"! Sweet thing and I cracked up laughing....both of us realizing that our Sunday morning lingering in the bed until 9:00am was over! FOREVER.

BUT what's more amusing, sweet thing had bought the girls twin beds the day before. We just needed to get the mattresses. I'd like to think we were right on schedule..... we were holding out till they were four!! But we've never been ones to rush anything. We have let the girls lead the way. We wanted them to feel secure. We do things at their pace and refuse to be pressured by any snide or catty comments. The chicks were comfortable in their cribs even thought Katie crawled out at 18 months.

The following are some of the conversations we had with the girls this weekend...sweet thing unloading their new twin beds into the garage. We had to move the cribs out of their room....

Me: "Wow, honey the beds are awesome"! Thinking to myself "he bought these on craigslist"?!?!.......way to go baby....
Sweet Thing: "Yeah they are pretty nice aren't they"? Feeling proud of himself....saved a buck...
Abbey: "And we'll sleep in our new beds"? Jumping up and down!

Me: "Yeah sweetie, daddy bought these specially for you".
Abbey: "And we'll sleep in the garage"?

Me/Sweet Thing: Sound of laughter................................"Yes, forever!!! "......

Later that afternoon as we were cleaning up the cribs to sell:

Me: "I've got to scrub the cribs up so we can sell them".

Sweet Thing: "They don't look dirty".

Me: "Well, they are".

Abbey: "Mommy looks like Cinderbrella"! As I was scrubbing the bed!

Me: "Oh, great"......

Sweet Thing: "Get the camera"........

Me: "Oh, that's so not funny"....

And then... as I was cleaning up the room before moving the new stuff in:

Me: "Honey will you get me the vacuum cleaner"
Sweet Thing: "Ummm, yeah... what are you going to do with it"?

Me: "Vacuum the girls room".

Sweet Thing: "Have you ever used one"?

Me: "Yes, of course" then blurting out "how do you turn this damn thing on"?

Abbey/Katie: Giggling "Mommy looks just like Lisa".

Sweet Thing: "Except mommy doesn't know how to operate the vacuum...take a picture girls..."

Sweet thing and I eating dinner....which consisted of our Greek neighbor's gorgeous Greek Pastries!!!! YUMMY...isn't this what you feed your darling husbands?!?!

Me: "Honey, look what E. gave me" as I skipped in the family room with our delectable dinner.

Sweet Thing: Eyes bugging out.... "Ummmm"....

Abbey: "I think I'd like one little bite".

Me: "Ummmmmm, noooooo you are not getting any of this"!

Abbey: "Cause it make my butt big"?

Me: "Yeah"!

Abbey: "Like mommy's"!

Me: "And your head too"!!
Sweet Thing: CRACKING UP......

How was your weekend?!?! Pictures later of the chicks new beds in all their glory!

Naked Tea Party

The gooyls are talking on a collegiate level. Ok, not really, but they can put together sentences and thoughts. They continue to amaze us with their smarts. AND the potty training has taken off like Niagara Falls. I've mentioned in the past that they weren't potty trained or really trying and well I was ok with that. I'm from the mindset where as not to cause any undue stress on girls or mommy. For what? Just for the sake of getting them out of diapers?! No. Big. Deal. However, out of the blue (today) they started peeling their diapers off to race to bathroom to go potty! Wooohooo. And no one 's stressed or upset... Big bonus.

I had the following conversation with the girls tonight upon returning home from work.

Katie: running to greet me..."Mommy, mommy I poop in the potty". Gushing and giggling as she pats her butt and shows me her underpants. Worn fashionably over her diaper.....

Me: "Katie, did you poop in the potty"? Thinking to myself, yeah sure if only.......however out of the corner of my eye I see Mai's head bobbing up and down confirming she did.

Katie: "I poop in the butt"! Pointing to her butt.

Me: smirking "Yes, you have poop in the butt, but you go on the potty".

Upon daddies return home Katie takes off running to the bathroom whips of her diaper and tosses it on the floor and squeals "Katie go potty".

Dh: repeating for for me as if I couldn't hear.... "She said she has to go the potty". Which meant are you going to take her?

Me: "mmmmm, well take her to the potty". Duh, as I continue to prepare dinner.

Dh: "She's already on the potty". With A look of disbelief on his face.

Katie: "I did it, I did it, I pee'd in the potty". And she did!

Not to be outdone seconds later Abbey yips "I pee'd in the potty mommy, I pee'd". As I turn around to acknowledge her she is carrying the potty full of the golden liquid over her head like a world heavy weight champ. Oh, my little he-man wrestler!

Me:
"Abbey, did you poo big"? We rate their poo's.... sick, I know.

Abbey: "
Like daddy"! I nearly split a gut..especially since no one gets in the bathroom when daddy's in there. He likes his privacy. I wish I could get so lucky. I have an audience when dumping!

They sat down at their table minutes later and had a proper tea party to celebrate their accomplishment. Naked as a stripper! That's my girls.....

Update: It's 11:20am eastern time and we have been running back and forth to the potty all morning. Still in dry pants! We may be onto something here........I've never washed my hands so much in my entire life. I'd make a terrible doctor.

Life with twins

As my fellow twin moms will attest(back me up girls) raising twins is anything but a walk in the park. More like hitting the lottery every day. Well, not quite every day. Exhilarating . Yes, that's it. Exhausting too. A high speed chase with out catching the villain. Bwahaha. But it is the single most rewarding thing I've ever (and I mean ever) done in my entire life. They amuse me with their funny little personalities and how smart they are. Not our gene pool--thank g-d. They have brightened our cosmos in a way I never thought imaginable. I am amazed that these two wickedly cute little people just barely 3 feet tall have us totally captivated and entertained at any given moment. More like hostage to their antics. I will share with you some of the deliciously clever things my devil children bright children will and can say on any given day. We've already conceded that our children are exceptionally talented. I know, you all think your little cupcakes are "gifted" too! Plzzzzz. Lol. You haven't met my little dynamo's. Big snort.

Katie: "Daddy cuuuuute".
Fh (faithful husband) had big meeting in D.C. last week and had to wear a suit to the office. Girls never see daddy dressed like this. His daily uniform flip-flops, t-shirt and shorts. Nice....Plus he also has lunch with the girls almost everyday. Rewards for working from home.

Mommy: "What is your name"? (Asking Abbey).

Abbey: Looking at mommy and saying "Abbey Gheeeee-leeeetter, Abbey twwwwwoooo". As if it's all one answer and why are you asking me when you know my name? She may have something there.

Katie: Pointing to mommy and instructing "Mommy, sit right there"! Ok, bossy.

Abbey: As she's looking at pictures of she and Katie, excitedly pointing. "Katieabbey, Katieabbey". Yes, siamese Twins?!

Katie:
Dog
eagerly runs into their room each and every morning and and promptly kisses Katie and or Abbey. This is what fh and I hear every morning from Katie's lips. "Ow, that hurt me"! Now, where did she hear that?

Katie and Abbey recited their colours: "poo-pul", "r-ange", "ba-lew" and "lel-ooooo". Too cute.

The little schmarty pants have figured out how to stall bedtime by insisting that we read, oh, like 50 books before lights out!

A few of the different hats my girls like to display. And fh.....see for yourself.

Heavy Weight

No. But Abbey thinks she has a "new" diaper equipped with a fashion belt. lol. My little "Houdini" (yes, both of them)have been pulling their diapers off the past couple weeks and for no reason other than because they could. Now, up until this point it was not a problem. You see where this is going. Abbey was crying(hysterically) yesterday morning "mommy, poo-poo, mommy, poo-poo, and a little louder "poo-poo mommy". I laid there in the bed looked up at the ceiling and smiled to myself. Ahhh, my girls really do love me. Nothing makes me happier than hearing my babies call my name. They do need me . But in a flash it occurred to me that maybe it meant what I thought it did. I frantically jumped out of bed and flew down the hall my feet barely touching the ground. Too late. There stood Abbey with her ass cheeks wrapped around the rungs in her crib and pointing(like I couldn't see it) to the giant warm steamy mound in the middle of her crib. Ewwww. It looked as if an elephant had taken a giant crap in her bed! That was not the half of it. There was crap everywhere. Everywhere. Did I say everywhere?! On the sheets, the bed, the bedding, her stuffed animals. Not today. I had no time for this. Not this morning. I was minutes to running out the door for work. Crap. Literally. What a great day to start my day.

As I was driving home I was sharing with fh about my morning drama. Car talk is the only time we have quiet time. Anyway being the "schmarty-pants" fh suggested tape. Insert grinning now. I ask, "What kind of tape"?! Fh replies, "duct tape". I asked "do you think it will work"? Fh, "oh, it will work, trust me". Well, not only was it tape, but "Gorilla" tape. So far Abbey has not figured out how to wiggle out of her "new" diaper. Lol. Well, we're safe. This week anyway.

Enjoy the pictures of the chickies.

Random cuteness

Monday, August 13, 2007

Twins, twins and more twins....

fun, fun and more fun

Warning: What your about to see will make you smile. *wink* The cuteness will jump out and smack you. Now, grab yourself a glass of wine and join me as I give a re-cap of a fun-filled weekend with Rony and friends.

This weekend was more for me than anyone. It's always about me, me, me and more me! Of course typical of a "Rony" escapade of any kind it would be riddled with drama and excitement and tons of laughter and wine.Did I say tons of laughter and wine?! Yes, we were meeting her and her klan and also my dear friend Ann Marie, Dave and her twins. But, boy oh boy was this the weekend of all. Twinfest here we come! I so needed this time with other moms who were just like me. You know, twin moms, 40 something moms, working moms, adoptive moms. We were normal. Well, at least this weekend we were. Sort of......

I am still coming (oh am I coming down) off of myheroin uber high induced weekend laced with sugary twin cuteness and adult fun. Way too much fun. It was to be a celebration like none other. They were even (hard to believe) cuter than their pictures. They were tiny little itty bitty carbon copy identical twin dolls. I couldn't drink or suck up their cuteness(all of them-including mommy) fast enough. The cuteness was blinding(yes, I said that) and of course you know typical of The Crazed Mamarazzi there would be photos. Lots of photos. (hush Sen) I couldn't stop staring at them or their mommy. She was bigger than life and stinkin skinny. Truly beautiful inside and out. Sweet, kind, compassionate and so damn fun. I simply adored her. Yes, this was my first real girl crush. Don't all of you get jealous at once. We had connected so long ago by phone but now on a different level. We were friends. We had so much in common.
The day had finally arrived. I sprung out of bed like a jack-in-the box. You remember those days. Loaded with energy. Before the vim, vam voom turned me to dragging my butt on the floor and I can't get up and why did I have that last glass of wine? I set the alarm for five thirty and not a minute past. I was giddy with excitement and couldn't wait to get there. I had been anxiously marking the days off the calendar for weeks in anticipation of this day. We had agreed to meet at the famed amusement park an easy two hour drive for both. Make a plan and do it-that's Cindy's motto.

We were were within minutes of the hotel (the planned meeting spot) when I decided I should feed my little hungry monkeys before meeting our new friends. I wanted to make a lasting impression, er well for the first initial meeting. The girls had barely eaten any of their yogurt before we fled what seemed to be the the middle of the night. They must have wondered what their crazy momma was up to running around at this crazy hour dragging everyone out of bed. But, as usual this would prove to be on the later side of when we should have pulled over. I heard a strange gurgle from the back seat. It was one of those noises that you instantly think "Oh crap, js-suz say it ain't so". As I squinted in the rear view mirror I could see Abbey holding her hand over her mouth and with a panic look on her face. Me too for that matter. I knew from the expression on her face we were doomed. So doomed. I asked rather nervously with a sideways glance "Abbey baby, are you ok, huh"? I had barely blurted the question out when she hurled all over the entire "mommy machine". It was a scene from the Exorcist with her spitting up chunks of morning fuel and her head spinning. Puke everywhere hanging on her like icicles from Christmas past. The leather seats, car seat and Abbey were covered in a sea of slim. I frantically rolled the windows down hoping to avoid the puke smell. Gasp, gasp, gasp too late. The smell was permeating through the sardine packed "mommy machine" like an explosive gas. Oh, shit, shit, shit. Mai pointed out that there was a McDonald's up ahead. So I whipped my stink bomb over to the left lane and as I'm trying to make a hard left I realize there is no effing traffic light and the traffic is not letting up. Oh, crap someone please let me cross. I am holding my breath, oh damn I think I'm going to be sick the smell is so gosh darn awful. We finally pull into the parking lot. Not knowing what to do first I yank Abbey out of the car. Poor thing had chunks of puke hanging all over her. Everywhere. She was so quiet. I didn't know where to begin. So, I stripped her clothes off in the parking lot and just for good measure I stripped Katie too. With twins it's equal everything. I re-dressed both of them and grabbed Abbey like a football and hurriedly head for the potty as if running for the 50 yard line. I scrub her from head to toe but she still smells like a vomit bag. I decide we need to eat, but oddly nothing sounds good at this point. Surprise. We gobble up a burger and I half ass try to clean the car seat up before hitting the trail again. Of course at this point it's like 110 degrees outside and as I open the car it hits me like a ton of bricks. Eeewww it's bad. I load the kids back up for a quick ride up the road. Or at least I hope so.

I'm nominating Cindy's man for the best hubby award because in the "inth hour" Cindy's darling super hot, super smart, super everything dh decided (insisted) upon being her personal driver, escort and all around wait on us good guy so she could have some girl time. ( girls night alone with no kids-or husbands--smart man) What a sweetie. Not only did he have his hands full with his family but he waited on my klan as if we were part of his brood. He treated all of us as if we were "royalty". Lady Di never had it so good. Truly a class act. Everybody needs an "Ed". I want an "Ed"! I don't know anyone that would have volunteered to clean up (true he removed car seat and took up to his room) the vomit covered car seat of a total stranger?!?! Big points here Ed. Big! He made sure wine glasses were filled and no glass sat empty AND feed the babies. A real babe. Lucky Cindy. Lucky us.

We headed to the park but it was short lived due to the intense heat. The sweat balls were rolling down between my loins and between my breast. Cindy asked me if maybe we should consider leaving? I think she too was a bit faint. Um, yeah. My thighs were rubbing together like a freight train and I was a little concerned that we may have a fire soon under my dress due to the intense heat. To make matters worse my underwear were soaked. Thank g-d I was wearing them!! "Yeah, I think it's ok to leave Cin". The babies had barely uttered a single word since arriving at the park. Their little heads were soaking wet. They were truly delirious. We later discover that the heat index was 108 degrees. Dangerously hot. What were we thinking?!

We arrived back at the hotel and tossed the girls in the tub and put them down for a nap. Surprisingly they went to sleep immediately. I took the opportunity to take a cold shower too to freshen up.

While babies were sleeping Cindy, Ed and I slung back a few glasses of wine and got acquainted with one another. When the babies woke up Ed (it was his idea, right Cindy) volunteered to take all the girls swimming. Umm, well, we should have known this would never work. There are 4 of them and damn if they don't just scatter and run in different directions. I sat down on the side of the pool with feet in(couldn't hurt, right?) and Cindy did the same. You probably know where this is going. No, we did not bare it all! Be - still you crazy people. We did not however have bathing suits. Yep, Cindy and I end up in the pool with our clothes on! No, we were not drunk either. Ed was having too much fun with the babies and we wanted to join him. I was in my dress and she was in her shorts and t-shirt. We laughed until I swear we pee'd. I'm sure the other hotel guests thought the "Beverly Hillbillies" had arrived! I guess if I were witnessing this I too would've thought "hicks". lol.

While Cindy and I were getting ready for our date Ed picked up dinner for Mai and himself. Again, points Ed, big points. Anyhoots, somehow Cindy and I (shocking) managed to close down Ruby Tuesday's with the help of two gorgeous martini's and great conversation. Over the course of the evening we discussed everything. I mean everything. Now, if we could just figure out how to keep our men sexually satisfied without being so darn tired we'd could be President. We could have sat up all night talking. Actually we almost did. We had breakfast the next morning together as our children trashed the restaurant and we were oblivious to it. Isn't that what parent's do?? After many, many hugs and kisses we said our good-byes and promised to get together again real soon.

The drive home was a bit rough as my brat whiny Katie screamed all the way home. We didn't arrive home a minute to early. I tossed them into bed for a much needed nap. Mommy was spent but so looking forward to another evening of fun and laughs with our friend Anne Marie, Dave and their little twinkies. Nothing better in this world than going to Ann Marie's. She has the biggest toy room of all. It's FAO Schwartz on steroids. Seriously. They got the good stuff. My girls always stand there as if to say, "where do I begin"? It is the mother lode of all toy rooms. Tons of fun kid stuff.

I'm very comfortable at Ann Marie's and because of that able to let my hair down and let it all hang out. Literally. Anne Marie is just so unbelievably good and such an incredible mom, great role model and a super great cook too. *wink*. The daddies were jamming and jumping up and down to some of their favorite blues music while the babies were imitating them. Daddy was sucking on 9% beer and loving it. So out of character for daddy. After all someone has to stay sober to drive us home. I think he might have wanted me to take advantage of him... I did want to too!

I know at one point Anne Marie and I were swinging and snapping our dinner napkins as if we were throwing our underwear at a famed "rock star". The girls just laughed and danced. Pity them they don't stand a chance in the "jive"
department or winning any American Band contest. Daddy doesn't have much
to speak of in the rythem department. He kind of bops his head back and forward. lol. Yes, this was by far one of my favorite weekends of all time. You and you must join us the next time! I promise you won't be disappointed. Nothing is off topic either. Right, Cin? Lol.

fun, fun and more fun

Where'd it Go?

It was a day like any other. Me racing desperately to answer my cell phone before it stopped ringing. Story of my life. I just couldn't find it. G-d help me if I missed a call. Plus I was waiting for that oh so important call from our club house manager regarding that pool thing from the day before. Anyway, it never (rings all the time--who am I kidding?!!) rings during the day so I thought it must be urgent. I casually looked at the display and it was Mai. My gut twitched a little and I thought "oh no, this can't be good." She has never called me while on her watch with the kids But fh was working in D.C. yesterday so she was really alone at home with the chickies. They could have locked her out or worse tied her up. They have the power over her. I answered the phone expecting the worse:

Me: "Hi Mai" We have caller I.D.

Mai: She was all excited, "Hello, ka (word they say in Thailand--polite way for young girl to say hello or dishwasher....or anything) um, today when Katie woke up from her nap".....

Me: Cutting in on her sentence cuz this could take a while with the language thing... "Mai is everything ok"?

Mai: Giggling, "Yes, yes (are you ready?!) Katie poo-poo'd on the potty"! Still giggling.

Me: I had a feeling of relief come over me and then I started laughing and applauding "Oh, good job Katie". "Katie went poo-poo" as I'm skipping through my model house hoping that no one comes in--but not really caring. I could hear Katie in the background repeating "poo-poo, Katie poo-poo".

Yes, this is what my life has become! Who has bigger poo's, smellier poo's, hard poo's, soft poo's and worse yet who hasn't poo'd. Lol. Who would have thought?! I thought I would spare all of you pictures of the big floating turd in the toilet that Mai took (but of course--picture freaks) pictures of. Yes, you know we are one big freak a-zoid family when it comes to the camera! AND, she went poo-poo again in the potty today! We could be on to something here...... I follow in my evil twins footsteps... Bwahahaha.... Katie is looking in the potty to make sure floating turd is not coming back to life! lol.....

Come take a peek

A snapshot of a real life "reality" show. Our reality.

If my calculation was correct it was that time again. Time for "Nana's" bi-monthly visit to spoil her grandchildren. Oh, goody. (her only grandchildren--and probably for awhile....long while). I am lucky that Nana so desperately wants to be a part of the babies (yes, I will always call them my babies too) lives. The girls know without a doubt who the crazy one is (the lady with the presents---silly--not me)and are constantly chanting "Na-na, Na-na, Na-na" as if conditioning for a beer chugging contest! Oh, g-d help me. Jason G.(legal council) I blame you.... Too early for that I hope. *wink.*

My "Mil" and I have always had an amazingly close relationship. Don't be hatin'. Not the usual daughter, mil relationship either. A friendship. You know, talk about sex and stuff... We have even discussed over the years (there was a time when she thought I might have been a bit of a handful for dh-ha ha ha. )that if I had not saved dh and married him that we would have been friends. So, it means more to me than any of you know that she wants to be a part of their little lives. A real part of their lives which translates, our lives. Package deal. When she visits she gets a front row viewing with popcorn at no additional charge of the "good bad and the ugly". No curtain calls here. We wave our "freak" flag proudly! Any hoots...I've always enjoyed her visits but now, waaaay more. Why, you might ask? Well, she begs us to let her (really) cook dinner for us (remember -- control freak here don't like anyone in my kitchen--including family) while visiting. Now, I'm not a stupid girl, however I've been thinking that maybe, there's a reason why. Could it be that she:
  • Hates my cooking. Is it possible?!
  • Prefers eating before 9:00pm.--yes we eat late... super duper late...we always have.

  • Doesn't like what I prepare. Hmm, possibility....naw!!!
  • Would rather do all the cooking-control freak herself?! No wonder we get along. Fine by me as I hate "clean-up"...

  • Wants to make sure her son is getting enough to eat. You've seen him, he ain't starving! No one in my household is. Reminder, I need to loose 10 ponds. Note to self: Talk to Sen about her work out schedule...
At any rate it gets me out of slaving over a hot stove after working all day and she gets the dirty job of clean-up. Which brings me to my next point. Days, almost hours no minutes before she arrived my schedule was altered. Under normal circumstances this wouldn't be a big deal, however I now would be working the entire time Nana was here! Crap. I know, a lot of you are thinking I'd rather be working when my "mil" visits. But, not me. I like to supervise the activities. Control freak..... remember? Lol.

So, Nana sucked up the courage and asked if she could take the girls to the pool -with the help of Mai of course-now, before I would have blurted out a big fat "No" and not wavered. Nobody but mama can manage the girls alone. No one. But, I thought what an excellent idea!!! I figured this would cure her of asking me to put them on a plane... without me. Insert, big grin. No fear there as you will see from photos (Sorry Nana--busted) how Nana had an "eye" on the children...yeah, see here...Good thing she convinced Mai how wonderful it would be to help her with the kids *shzz* . Remind me not to send the girls to Florida anytime soon or until their 16... lol.

Just for the record I hate, really hate(I know hate is a really strong word) public watering holes. No, not those kind of watering holes (martini bars, or bar-stools) but swimming pools. Now, I wouldn't say I live in the "hood" by any stretch, but well, we obviously have a lot of clueless people in my neighborhood. Stupid. I like taking the girls to the pool every chance I can. You see, even though I hate, detest public swimming pools, my little girls love the water. Just like their momma. So, we load up mommies pimp machine (not really a real pimp machine, I just wish it were) 2 days a week for fun in the sun and water.

I was a really upset the other day at the lack of supervision by the parent's regarding their children. Especially in the baby pool area. Yes, I understand it's only one foot of water. But a child can drown in less! Although we do have one monster ass baby pool equipped with fountain to boot it is not life guard manned. We were rushing to get home for naps when I noticed a little girl who appeared to be 3-4 years old swimming in the baby pool. Alone. No parent, no babysitter, nothing. So I asked her(felt it was my responsibility) if she were with anyone? Much to my horror she said yes, her mommy. "Oh", I said as I'm looking around for her. I ask, "well, where is she"? The little girl replied "at the big" pool"! I was so upset that I loaded the kids in the pimp machine faster than I ever have and sped up to the clubhouse to speak to someone with some authority. After having a discussion with someone who appeared to be important, I've never seen him before, he could have been the valet attendant for all I know or a drifter...I didn't care, I was upset... he assured me they would address the situation. Guess what? A repeat on Friday. Also big kids (really big kids) swimming, no throwing big crap in in the baby pool while they're on mandatory 15 minute break from the big pool. Grrr... Did I mention how I hate public pools?!? I know my hormones have been acting up but it makes me so angry that these children are being dropped off and obviously being unsupervised. What will it take before these parent's sit up and take notice? A drowning?! Unbelievable. Is this all the more they value life?! Ok, maybe I'm a bit dramatic, but damnit, I waited a long time for my little angels and it makes me angry....

I will finish it up with a conversation I had with a group of moms, whom I had absolutely nothing in common with at the pool.

Skinny Hot Mommy: "They are so cute".Real emphasis on cute. I know what that means. Preparing myself...

Me: "Thank you". Beaming and so proud. Waiting for her to strike.

Skinny Hot Mommy: "Where'd you git them"?

Me: Stupid, disgusted look on my face, yep, I knew this was going to happen, "China".

Skinny Hot Mommy: "The bathing suits"?

Me: Blushing, and totally embarrassed. "Oh, no, I thought you meant the children, Kohl's I mean, I bought the suits at Kohl's children in China". Me thinking to myself, Oh, just shut-up now. Stupid mommy with foot in mouth! Disappear.

Skinny Hot Mommy: "The suits are adorable, but the girls are precious". Look on her face that says I feel sorry for you. No, I feel sorry for your children.

Me: "Oh, thank you".......

Note to self: Do not assume you know what someone is going to say before they say it.... Makes mommy look like total idiot. Packing up bags and children and going home now. Embarrassed. Will I be able to muster up the courage to go back? Especially since all moms are skinny and hot!

p.s. I like taking pictures of my cute kids.
